Fathers Day Poems
Daughters, and perhaps sons, on this day
Will be sending gifts in every way
But the gift I give to you
Is not a one for others to view
It's a special gift between you and I
A gift which no one can untie
Father mine, I so love you
And I think you know that to be true
❤ ❤
Lots of love on your birthday
Are sent in this card in every way
Spend the day doing what you like best
Chilling out and enjoying a well earned rest
❤ ❤
Dad, you are a king of men
I will say it over and over again
No one could be sooo blessed
To have a Dad that towers above the rest
So here's a toast to you today
To a wonderful Dad, Happy Fathers Day
❤ ❤
Mrs Sonora Dodd's mother had died when Sonora was 16 and she helped her dad, William Smart to raise her 6 younger brothers. After Mothers Day was invented in 1909, in testimony to her Dad's child rearing dedication she instigated, in 1914, a Fathers Day event in her local area (Spokane, Washington) The idea slowly...very slowly caught on and became an official national event in 1972 and is now, of course, internationally celebrated

Oh Daddy Dearest you know that you're the one
That took my heart from the very minute I was born
Your darling of a daughter the apple of your eye
Cuddles and hugs and a love that's never worn.
Happy Fathers Day
❤ ❤
All the times I've leant upon
Your shoulder and shed my tears
You've been there for me
No matter what for all these years.
You are wonderful and I hope you know
Just how much I love you;
My respect and honor grows and grows
Just how much I never knew.
Now I'm a Dad myself
Realising all I have to do;
If I can manage just half as much
Just half as much as you.
Thanks Dad-You're Great!!!
❤ ❤
I know how often I took you for granted
When I was growing up back then.
I always assumed you'd be there
When... ... I needed you
And you always were.
But I never really thought about what that meant
Till I got older and began to realise
How much time and energy you spent....
Devoted to me...
So, for all the times I didn't say it before,
Thank you, Dad....I love you so very much...
From your...
...Ever loving daughter (son)
Happy Father's Day, Dad

Fathers Day Poems
Ever since you've been gone
I've missed you more and more
I didn't realise till your death
That I'd be like you I swore.
I did tell you that I loved you
But not nearly as many as I should;
I miss your hugs and kisses too
If only that I could.
❤ ❤
Any man can be a father
It takes someone special to be a Dad
You're special, Dad
❤ ❤
Daddy, I love you
For all that you do.
I'll kiss you and hug you
'Cause you love me, too.
You feed me and need me
To teach you to play,
So smile 'cause I love you
On this Father's Day.
❤ ❤
You've got to be voted the Dad of the Year
As I believe you are simply the best
I love your kindness and your humor
I think that you deserve a rest.
So today you will be waited on
Put your feet up and just chill;
You can wine and dine at great expense
Provided you pick up the bill
Just kidding
❤ ❤
Thank you, Dad
Thank you, Dad
Thanks for loving me.
Hugs and kisses, hugs and kisses,
Comes to you from me.
Thank you, Dad
Thank you, Dad
You are such a friend.
On this day I'd like to say,
On you I can depend.

I thought you'd be a wonderful husband
And you are
I hoped you'd be a caring father
And you are
Happy Father's Day from both ( all ) of us

My Dad and I
My dad and I-we think alike,
He knows just what I mean
Before I even say a word
He reads, well, in between.
My dad and I-we like to fish
Or build a model plane,
Or fix a broken chair or two
Or just a windowpane.
My dad and I-we know the score
Of every single game;
Sometimes he's really busy, too
But he takes me just the same.
My dad and I-we go swimming too,
Each year and sometimes twice.
My dad and I-we do everything;
My dad-he's really nice.

Over the years
As we grow old,
We remember our father
So brave and bold.
In the garden,
Leaning on the plow,
He would listen to me;
I see him now.
He would give advice
And understand;
He was always there
To lend a hand.
God made fathers
Strong and firm,
For he knew our lives
Would have great concerns.
So he gave us fathers
To teach us to pray,
And guide our lives,
And show us the way.
So on his day
Let's take the time
To say "Thanks, dad.
I'm glad you're mine."

Fathers can be solitary mountains,
All their love rock-like, steep, and strong.
Though warm and caring, somehow they belong
Halfway home to mothers' bubbling fountains.
Each of us needs love that knows no quarter,
Reminding us of bonds that cross a border,
Strengthening our sense of right and wrong.
❤ ❤
Grandfathers are fathers who are grand,
Restoring the sense that our most precious things
Are those that do not change much over time.
No love of childhood is more sublime,
Demanding little, giving on demand,
Far more inclined than most to grant the wings
Allowing us to reach enchanted lands.
Though grandfathers must serve as second fathers,
Helping out with young and restless hearts,
Each has all the patience wisdom brings,
Remembering our passions more than others,
Soothing us with old and well-honed arts.
❤ ❤
To my dad on his day,
Of whom I am a living will:
May your happiness fulfill
Your goodness, as is just and right.
Deeds are seeds upon the night
As wind and wonder have their way,
Delivering the destined light.

Fathers Day poems verses quotes
When I was just a tiny kid,
Do you remember when,
The time you kissed my bruises,
Or cleaned by soiled chin?
You scrambled for the balls I hit,
(Short-winded more than not,)
Yet, every time we'd play a game,
You praised the "outs" I caught.
It seems like only yesterday,
You wiped away my tears,
And late at night I called your name,
To chase away my fears.
Though time has changed your handsome grip,
Your hair is snowy white,
You gait's a little slower now,
Thick glasses help your sight.
Oh, do I thirst for years gone by,
To be that growing lad,
Re-living all of the memories,
Of growing with my dad.

Fathers Day poem from daughter
A little girl needs Daddy
For many, many things
Like holding her high off the ground
Where the sunlight sings!
Like being the deep music
That tells her all is right
When she awakens frantic with
The terrors of the night.
Like being the great mountain
That rises in her heart
And shows her how she might get home
When all else falls apart.
Like giving her the love
That is her sea and air,
So diving deep or soaring high
She'll always find him there.

Fathers Day Poems
Dad, you're so
Loving and kind,
And often you know
What I have on my mind.
You're someone who listens,
Suggests, and defends
And dad you're one
Of my very best friends!
You're proud of your triumphs,
But when things go wrong,
You can be so patient
And helpful and strong
In all that I do,
Your love plays a part
There's always a place for you
Deep in my heart
And each year that passes,
I'm even more glad,
More grateful and proud
Just to call you my dad!
Happy Father's Day

Fathers Day Poem
A Father means so many things...
An understanding heart,
A source of strength and of support
Right from the very start.
A constant readiness to help
In a kind and thoughtful way.
With encouragement and forgiveness
No matter what comes your way.
A special generosity
And always affection, too
A Father means so many things
When he's a man like you...
